Sizing
Pick the size by your dog's weight. The mat sets the size, and we match the vest to it.

The mat only needs to be big enough to lie on, so weight is a good enough guide. The vest has to actually fit, so measure his chest girth — the widest part, just behind the front legs — and tell us in the order notes if it falls outside the band above. We will send the vest size that fits rather than the one the table says.
If your dog is under about 5 kg, this bundle is not for him. The smallest vest starts at a 41 cm chest, which is bigger than most toy breeds. Buy the mat on its own in XS or S instead — it comes in sizes the vest does not.
What it does not do
The vest works by evaporation, which means it works while it is damp and stops when it dries out — thirty to ninety minutes on a hot day, then it needs re-wetting. Put on dry, it does nothing. The mat is a cooler surface than a warm floor, not a refrigerated one; there is no gel and nothing to freeze.
Neither of these is a substitute for shade and water, and neither makes it safe to walk a dog in the middle of a hot afternoon. If your dog is already in trouble — heavy panting, bright red gums, stumbling — that is a vet, now, not a product.
